Neulogy helped to develop entrepreneurship ideas

6. February 2012

We participated at AIESEC Symposium 2012 event last weekend, where our Chairman Ivan Stefunko took part in the panel discussions.

On the first day, participants discussed startup opportunities and evolving startup ecosystem in Slovakia, on the second day they explained the investors’ point of view on businesses seeking finance.

After that, our consultants mentored selected teams helping them out to prepare for the startup idea competition. The main goal of the competition was to make a successful pitch and gain interest of angel investors.

At the end of the event, international jury, where Ivan Stefunko and Ondrej Bartos took a leading role selected following winners:

1. School-E, web-based school (course) management system with online payments

2. Goldfish lightning an intelligent lighting system, which adjusts to your lifestyle

3. Translate Karate, an online localization tool for apps, which aims to have a very simple user interface

We were more than happy to see a great leap forward, which Goldfish and Translate Karate have made since they participated at Startup Awards 2011.

At the end of the day most of the students smiled and confirmed they have gained different perspective and experience compared to common University program.

If you would like to experience similar atmosphere, ther will be a StartupCamp Kosice on 18th of February followed by StartupCamp Bratislava on 19th of February. Moreover we heard from a team behind Startup Weekend Bratislava, that they have already started preparations for an event in May 2012.
